bucksk2.jpg (53713 bytes)Two T Mnt. Timber 3 month old buckskin colt ; Owned by Denise  of Two T Mnt. Quarter Horses.  Timber is the 3rd foal out of the bay mare Tami and the Palomino stud Skip R Imprint ("Fred"), from whom he evidently got his cream gene.

wpe38.jpg (17876 bytes)Poco Merlin  owned by Kat Lee; sire of the perlino colt "Silver".

Cro_Mar9.jpg (48420 bytes)Crobar Folly , owned by Natalie Nelson, is a 1994 AQHA buckskin stallion. Cro had a successful show career with multiple grands & reserves in AQHA competition. He was undefeated in ABRA (buckskin) sanctioned halter classes in his home state of Arizona and stood 3rd at the 1996 ABRA World Show in Open & Amateur Halter Stallions! He returned to he ABRA World and stood 4th in Open Aged Stallions and 6th in Amateur Stallions.  His half brother Blue Eyed Paradise (both sired by Paradise Folly) is denied AQHA registration simply due to being the wrong color, and is every bit as nice as his half brother.
bucksk1.jpg (53949 bytes)The Paradise Legacy (Paradise Folly x Luck Has It, right) and her 2000 bay foal "Perpetual Paradise".  The buckskin mare has only one cream gene, which she got from her sire (her dam, right, does not have one) and which she did NOT pass on to this foal, so it's "just" a bay.
wpeB.jpg (13539 bytes)=> To the right is the foal's "grandma", Luck Has It, "just" a bay with a buckskin daughter due to Paradise Folly's one cream gene. She is an own daughter of Dry Doc Junior. Note: Blue Eyed Paradise, from our cremello page,  is a half brother to The Paradise Legacy, left!
Heidi1.jpg (20123 bytes)"Heidi",Owned by Susan Prouty : San Star Heidi. AQHA sire is Lock's King and dam is San Star Duchess .... Heidi is ROM arena with 48 points in halter, calf roping and heeling. Tanglewood Farms. Heidi is the dam of Jumpin Jack Kid wpeA.jpg (20548 bytes) Semi Sugar Chocolate: She is a very dark buckskin and has light brown eyes. She was born looking black. She produced this palomino foal when bred to a bay paint stallion.  The "sooty" gene can make a buckskin look almost bay, but they will generally still have golden areas.  Her dam is Folly Question, the smoky black QH mare, and her sire is a brown Quarter Horse named Poco High Dollar. She is pictured with Fancy, her Y2K palomino breeding stock filly by our bay tobiano stud BH Gay Snaky Bud. Fancy is a clear gold with amber eyes, white mane and tail.
